PS Layout
Printed and layered with 3D gloss added to glass and buttons

The image I chose is Glass of Wine, which, includes the brilliant sentiment, it's great isn't it?
I coloured the image in PS and added a PS glass filter to the glass, I love this effect and have used it for windows and of course a glass and a bottle.
The card is for one of my niece's whose birthday is in a couple of weeks time, she likes a glass of wine, so this should suit quite well.  LOL. The colour combo was the hardest to choose, so I looked through DP's that I hadn't used and found this kit. Quite a different colour combo ay? for me anyhow.

Sympathy card

Hi Everyone, I had to do a sympathy card for a former work colleague who had lost his wife. He was very difficult to make a card for as he is an atheist, doesn't really like to show emotion and he has had a bad few years.

I had a plan in my head that I felt would be suitable, then - you know what plans are like, due to circumstances I had to do it VERY quickly and I was visiting work the next day and was taking it to get his address and post the same time. I thought a Quick Page would help me do it in double quick time, thankfully it did. I felt it suitable, something different, but would show what he felt inside I thought.

I laid it out in Photoshop just adding the sentiment within the frame then printed it out and added it to the card with a couple of blings.  As it happened as I was walking into work, he was walking out and I was able to give him the card, I really was glad I had it on hand.

The Quick page is from Pixel Scrapper November blog hop.

Snowman Winter Wishes

My DT post today is for Deedee's Digis who is sponsoring the challenge at  http://craftyourpassionchallenges.blogspot.com/  Theme - Anything Goes

I used the Snowman and sentiment from the Snowman Soup kit,

I made a gift mug with hot chocolate sachets and didn't the colours of the sachets go well with the ready coloured image of that fun snowman?
The mug is an SVG cutting file from Lettering Delights. I added ribbons, Stickles and 3D gloss.

Wedding card

Hi Everyone, I have my DT post for Deedee's Digis today and it is for the Lace and Pearls challenge that Deedee is sponsoring at http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/

 Here

I have used the wedding cake from the Now and Forever kit by Deedee's Digis. I made the layout in Photoshop, I placed a blue square to start, added a heart overlay by Delicious Scraps, I used lighting effects to make the lighter centre, added the lace layer by Miriam Freebies, I can't find her on the search engine so I don't know if she is still around! - sorry, - if you know better I'd love to know. The sentiment also come from Deedee's kit. The pearls are Papermania, so is the central heart.

I chose "Snow Bunny Etherial Enchantress" isn't she wonderful?
My "Anything BUT a card"  is a calendar page, I think she is perfect for this, she's showing what the weather can be, beautifully.
I coloured her in PS added shading and shadows and placed her in the calendar template.

Easter Chick

Hi Everyone, here's a cutie chick from the Spring Chicks kit (there is an EU version and rest of the world version, this is due to the new EU VAT rules), just for you today as my DT post for Deedee's, Digis, it's for the Addicted to Stamps Challenge Guest DT Day.

I usually use the ready coloured images from Deedee's but I decided to colour my own chick this time, in PS as usual. I also added a "PS fur pattern" I know chicks have feathers, but it gave the image texture that I wanted. I have added a few "PS brush" feathers, I also added a real feather, I haven't used a real one in an age. The DP I used is by Cajoline Easter Papers, I had these in 2011. Papermania Twine and I followed this sketch.

Owl Love You

Hi Everyone, here's a little owl with a different shape card. Inspiration for this is from Dizzy Designs.

I used Photoshop shapes to make the template and "clipped" papers to the shape, then printed it all out and layered them on to white card. Quite a different colour combo don't you think, I love it.

I coloured the owl in PS and layered and added it to the centre and then added Stickles to the flowers and 3D gloss to the flower in her hair! also to the beak and eyes.  Then added Papermania 3D Pearl effect. This will be for my lovely patient hubby.

The Dp's are from Pixel Scrappers Blog Hop Feb 2014.

Card file

Hi Everyone, something different today and a picture heavy post, it's a cut file I had from Paper Garden Products I couldn't believe how easy it was. I made it slightly larger to hold my Cuttlebug folders as I don't make A2 cards and this is exactly what I wanted, it holds 6 Folders comfortably and Yes it is strong enough to hold them. I was thrilled with it and it came together so quickly, whooppee. The DP is also from Paper Garden Products from the "Chalk It Up To Spring" Newsletter Freebie. I'd advise subscribing as there are lovely freebies in the Newsletter and Facebook. I chose these colours as my comparatively new craft/bedroom is Orange and brown

Just in case you want to do the same size I sized the file at 9.211 inches wide and 9.347 inches high. To make it this size, I made a rectangle the measured size of the Cuttlebug Folder and enlarged the selected pieces so the one side matched it.  That's how I have to do it in my software. You may have to do it differently. Hope that makes sense.

I have placed in this the Splitcoasters Card Storage Album

"Dance like nobody's watching"

I chose this beautiful image to play with this week and she cried out to be framed with roses and other florals and leaves. The lace adds feminity I feel. She seems to be reflecting a little, rather than posing, what do you think?  The sentiment is because I see her reflecting. I have to admit I'm really pleased with this and the colours.

EU VAT rules News Report!

Hi Everyone a news post - well it seems like it, we all know about the new EU VAT rules which came into post on January 1st, which has meant quite a few owners closing their digital companies. I read this by Mags B and decided it important enough to let everyone know how we can help.

This is from Mags B at Madcap Manor

I'm sure you have all begun to notice that some digistamp companies have closed or are no longer selling to the EU because of the administrative burden of the new EU VAT laws. The law was designed in 2008 to close a tax loophole exploited by Amazon, iTunes and other big firms, but unintentionally affected microbusinesses, too.

There are 2 petitions you can sign:

to Vince Cable MP

to EU Commissioner Pierre Moscovici

Next year this will be applied to physical goods, so if you know anyone who sells handcrafted items to the EU please let them know about the petitions.

The law was passed in 2008, when there were almost no 'kitchen table' digi businesses. Now there are hundreds of thousands who just don't have the resources to comply with what's demanded.

For more info see Digital VAT 2015 on Facebook.

Another birthday card

Hi Everyone, I have another birthday card today, I saw a card, that I loved, but didn't take notice of the blog, sorry, just copied the card to use the sketch shape as I love it. So thank you Jen Zeeb for inspiration.

This is my interpretation

It's for my Great Niece's 16th birthday, I added stitching with my little sewing machine that I bought for a bargain last year, I think I have used it twice, must get the tension right!!!!!!!

I added a cut out 16 on my Cricut, then dry embossed it with one of my new Tattered Lace borders, I added 3D gloss to the raised part, hope you can see it. I added Xcut punched mini flowers and a sentiment by Create with TLC.  The fab digi stamp by All dressed up Stamps I coloured in Photoshop.

Dp's by Lucy Hampton from her Old Rose kit, I got it in 2007! So glad I haven't deleted old files, I keep telling my son when he tells me to clear "stuff" off the 'puter I may need them, - proved, LOL.

You may wonder why I added the sentiment, and airplane?, well Millie's Dad has been promoted to China, and she and her Mum will moving over there, not long after her birthday and school exams.

Beautiful flower

Hi Everyone, it's been a while since I made anything for Paper Garden Products, to my shame.  I decided yesterday to make something and this came along.  I chose the digital stamp Lentern Rose (or Hellebore) as I thought it just the flower for this time of year.  The stamp frame is also from PGP.

I coloured the flower in PS to match the paper. I chose papers from the Midwinter kit which was a freebie a while ago. it suited the season too and although the background paper is little snowflakes I think they look like little flowers, well I can see what I want LOL.  The full kit is HERE

I added an embossed border from Tattered Lace and decoupaged the flowers, I also used a sentiment from Paper Garden and printed it on the paper, I changed the colour to match the paper and added an "outer glow" so it showed up more. I also added some Stickles to the centre of the flower. I am so pleased with it, it's so different to what I have been making last few months.

I am entering a few challenges, anyone got a good way of checking up on the correct date if by any chance you have won?

I added this to the Splitcoasters Gallery for Dry Embossing - the border

Deedee's first DT post

Yippee, I am thrilled to let you know I am on the DT of Deedee's Digis, I love Deedee's images, she has the whole pack with her sets, sentiments to match them and in some kits digital paper as well. She also has a progressive challenge where you get the digi to take part the following month, that's where I came across them and it sort of went from there, I was GDT in October 2014 and was quite excited what I could do when "pushed". I think I must give myself a short timescale to complete a project, perhaps I would achieve a little more.

Look out Deedee here I come LOL.

Under pressure (my own making) I decided to see if I could do a "quick card" to show you some of Deedee's work, you may have seen me use this image before, but he is so cheeky, I had to use him again. I used the Monkey Business kit.  All Deedee's images are on offer during January, so go get him LOL.

I used the ready coloured image and added movable eyes so he is even more cheeky, well you know me!  I also copied and made a larger banana from the papers to add and also added some bling which matched the blue in the paper. This is for a former work colleague of mine, she's "cheeky" too.

Today I have a Scrapbook page, the theme this week is Winter, I have a lovely photo of my niece that I decided to use, it matched the Happy Noel digi kit so well.  It may seem a bit odd to have gray as the background, but it matched the design on her dress and it is a winter layout.

My 5 Favourites 2014

Hi Everyone, I have decided to partake in Debby's challenge by looking through my 2014 posts and seeing what are my favourite 5, MUCH harder than I realised, but I will try and narrow down the 23 I have chosen - I will HAVE to won't I? LOL.

I have decided on narrowing them for reasons rather than them being the best I have to offer, it was the only way I could do it.

No 1 was made in November, it is the first time I think I really understood the concept of painting, blending and filters in Photoshop. I even entered it into the Photoshop magazine Gallery, how's that for cheek, being amongst all the professionals?
original post
No 2 is a card I made for my Son's birthday, he hates having his age mentioned so I added the sentiment which I thought was very apt LOL.
Original post
No3 this card is in one of my highest views, I love it too.
Original post
No 4 This card was a card I just loved too, I was thrilled with how it came together.

Original post
No 5 has also been amongst my highest views, and I love the joke, you'll have to go to the post to see the punch line. LOL.

Original post
I hope you liked my choices, are they REALLY my favourites? well definitely amongst them.  I will add others here that I also love for different reasons, but won't add the reasons to make this post any longer than it should be. I'm cheating by adding them I suppose.

What's your favourite shape

I used Stitchy Bear Country Hearts digi and coloured it in Photoshop. I have been playing and trying to understand Photoshop recently and seeing what results I get with blending options. On this layout I have used -  Screen, Multiply, Pattern overlay, Drop Shadow, Bevel and Emboss and Dodge and Burn. It really is amazing what these combinations make. I also used the Pen tool for the text, something I really have to work at to understand it more.
Here is the card printed and layered. It would be lovely if my printer would print as bright as my screen, although it looks lovely on real life. I used coloured card to mount it on, something of a rarity for me.
