Bowl of Apples

Another card for the 2 challenges I entered in my previous post, plus another new to me, not so autumnal as required, but apples are harvested in autumn aren't they, so decided to give it a chance.  The colour combination came about by accident, I was just going to use brown and turquoise but then HAD to add red to match the apples, I decide they were all apples, (artistic licence), then the brown went out of the window so to speak, hope you like it though.

The digi stamp is by Glitterbabes  I coloured it in PS as usual, sorry I am not a Copic girl. I cut the shape by Krewellakreations.co.uk with my Cricut through my Fairycuts program. The red ribbon is by Dovecraft, the turquoise from stash, and little bling from stash too.

The challenges I am entering are

Photos from yesterday

The rainbow I think was perfectly place at the end of the garden, on the right it had a shadow rainbow, but it was too dim to see it on camera, more the shame.

A closeup at it's brightest point
This is a close up of the trees at the back of the garden, a mixture of Oak and Hawthorn, the red/pink colour are the hawthorn berries

This an ever closer view of the amazing amount of berries this year, more than we have ever seen since living here (17 years) does that mean another cold winter?

Autumn Fairy

I have made this card with 2 challenges in mind.  The digi image is by Gurukitty Designs, I have coloured her in PS, but thought the colouring didn't do her justice, so copied each leaf and pasted it, then added a different gradient to each of them, I coloured her hair orange and hope you think she is as colourful as I wanted her to be, I stickled her hair, she is a fairy after all LOL.  The background is also done in PS, I made a circle and copied a leaf colour then added a pattern to it, making it look textured (I hope), I then cut a red piece of Papermania cardstock and layered all on top of it, I wanted her out of the circle, why? I really don't know, just did.  I then added the sentiment using the font Hill House, as I liked the circles in it, I also used a gradient on that too, I then added some extra leaves making it more autumnal.  I hope you like it.  I have uploaded the closeup instead of the card - sorry, slip of the finger.

I shall be entering the following challenges, the 2 I had in mind when doing this card.

Halloween card

We have a boy and girl a few doors from us who every year come dressed up for Trick or Treat, they are lovely children, so I usually make something like a treat box or cover chocolate in halloween paper etc.  This year for a change I decided to make a halloween card for them.  This may sound understated by my USA friends, but halloween isn't that big around here, except for a few youngsters who have taken it on.  The card is wonderful photo type paper from Cuddly Buddly, it just makes colours come alive.  The scarecrow Mr Straw is by Digital Delights and the pumpkins and straw bale is by Laurie Furnell, I purchased it a few years ago from PC Hug Bug.  Mr Scarecrow has been coloured in PS, the pumpkin and straw image was already coloured.  The background paper is Bootiful Night from Summertime Designs.  I cut out and 3D'd the main images.
I shall be makng a few more items for them and other chidren who come to the door. I love to see their faces when I give them something made for the occasion. I hope to post what I make for them soon.

I shall be entering the card in to the

shopping list

I made these to enter into the CDAC challenge Back to School, but due to other things I missed it, botheration! which means I missed my bonus image, oh! well I am going to show you them anyway as I am pleased with how they turned out.
I already had a template I made for 3 covers of the shopping list pad made by Tesco, but I haven't been able to get any more, so I guess they have discontinued them.  I did find these in The Range which worked with the template.  The stamps were freebies for the CDAC challenge HERE   I downloaded "kids" fonts and the coloured them in PS, then printed and cut them out.  I shall put them in my gallery on CDAC anyway, seeing as that's where they were for.  Hope you like them.

The stamps are named Madison by Stamp-n-Doodle  TGAngelHeartGirlwithGlasses Tortagialla and scan 0059 by Jens Digi Stamps ,  the fonts are 1, KidsFirstPrintFont, 2, KR Crayons 3, KR Back To School, I found these by putting kids fonts into Google.  I am going to add to the blog challenges, which unbelievably match what I have made, except Linda Tieu at Tortagialla who doesn't seem to have a challenge or gallery that I can find.  Linda if you do, my apologies.  Photos were taken after dark so not good, but hope you can see them OK.

LIM 32

LIM challenge this week - Oh! it's 2 images -

SEEING DOUBLE
So on your entry this week, we'd like to see TWO of something.

Now as you already know I am NOT a stamper, give me digi everytime, on the puter I see what I'm doing and can change it, however in honour of our Leaders, I have stamped and actually I quite like this one, I know, I'm contrary!

The stamps don't don't have a name on them but I think they are Docrafts, maybe reductions in a bin I had quite a few years ago.  ALL my stamps except for my recent 2 winning stamps are absolutely years old.  Anyway, I stamped them after using talcum powder on the card, debby4000 gave a suggestion on my previous effort, I will definitely will use this tip again, what a difference it made, thanks Debby.

I embossed with Gold and Pale Gold, both bought in The Range, for the stars and Gold for the sentiment. I felt it was too plain, and had to add red to make it light up I thought.  So rummaged for a ribbon and found 4inches! of red and gold, whew what luck.  Now whether they are placed correctly I don't know, but I like it just the same.  Liked the ribbon effect that Mandi used and copied it.

Back to school

I have been so wrapped up in other things, I have nearly missed the CDAC challenge HERE of Back to School, so here it is.  The stamp is by Sweet Stamping Treats and I love the little bear here, as I could see a little one taking him to school for support. aw! I coloured it in PS. I chose Summertime Designs red star paper as I would want them to be a star pupil, the top star paper I have had for years and I'm afraid it doesn't have a "label", I Stickled all the stars for a bit of sparkle.  Then I then printed it all out, layering the stamp and the sentiment and putting the star on dimensionals.   Hope you like it.

Guess what metal!

This week at Less is More, the challenge is -

It's the first Saturday of the month and so we have a colour themed challenge once more and this time it is

METALLIC

We'd like to see CLEAN & SIMPLE cards with something that has a METALLIC finish to it... ink, embossing, card, charms, actual metal... come on people let's get creative!

Sorry it's blurred, but you can see the colours.
"Let's get creative", well I have thought and thought as usual, but this week I had a blinding thought!!!! Years ago I went to a Craft exhibition in Cardiff and saw someone with some excellant pieces of shaped metal objects for sale, these could be put on cards or used as jewellery and for some reason it came into my mind.  So I did the same thing, but couldn't remember how she coloured the metal, so I tried a couple of things and then came the gas hob and it worked.  Some of you may already have guessed what it is, for those who haven't guessed yet, I will show the cards first, I actually made 3, I was so thrilled with the process, then at the end - no cheating!  I'll let you know what I used.
The buckle is cut with Quickutz die and ribbon was part of my prize candy at Pink Princess
Butterfly closeup

The butterfly is cut with a die with the name "Tonic Studios" on it I think I bought it in The Range. the paper is another part of my winning candy from Kellylou at Pink Princess

Key closeup
I cut the key out with a Quickcuts die, ribbon from stash with Mutlu ornamental font printed 21 on card

I will now reveal what I used - trumpets, drums, spotlights - a coke can!

I will be entering the following challenges with these cards
