a BIG cake lol

I'm in a bright colour mood at the moment, it must be summer lol, the digi is by Elizabeth Dulemba  but I can't remember what blog I had it from - sorry.  SEE COMMENT BELOW.  I coloured it in PS and added Stickles, ( I HAVE to).  The digi paper is called "backgrounds" but that's all I have on that.  The sketch is by Mojo Monday, the ribbon from stash,  not a lot of info on this sorry, but you have to say it's bright lol

Melon thanks

A challenge for the Cricut at Bitten by the Bug 2, and I had the cartridge!  A Melon was needed so here it is, with NOT an original sentment, but it works.  I used a Digi by GTC's Crafty corner for the truck and used my Doodlechams cartridge for the melon and Audrey Jean Roberts digi paper, Stickles on the flowers and used Cuttlebug folders to emboss the melon, then I cut into the card on the truck body to place the melon and raised it, very simple, but with VERY bright colours that clash, which I wanted.

TLC card

I have made this card with images from TLC http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.com/ a friend of ours is 70 next week and I made this for him as he used to go fishing.  The "water" paper is from PC Hugbugs, I've had it for years, then added the school of fish and used Graduation in PS to colour them, I did the same with the big fish, then printed it on acetate and added it the card so it looked like it was swimming out from the card, at least that was what I thought lol.  I added another printed on acetate to the left side glued straight on to the card.  The sentment is also from TLC, the full saying being O Fish ally Retired, but I took artistic licence to say O Fish ally 70!  The font is The Blue Cabin.  I added 3D gloss to the 70 also graduated in PS.

A beautiful HOT day

We got up this morning with the mountian opposite us clothed in clouds and wet all around, yesterday was like winter with a lot of rain. What a fantasatic day we have had today, so hot, we spent all of it in the garden under an umbrella in the shade, reading lol.  Today has more than made up for a week off work with dismal weather.
On to my card, the digi I got from Phindy's place, I love it, I have paper pieced it in PS and then shaded, cut the shapes and the flowers on my Cricut added Stickles.  The paper is by Summer Designs

LIM 21 sketch

After reading what was expected of us by our LIM leaders I was quite pleased as I had to do a thank you card for my niece after her wedding last week.  This is what I am sending her, as her wedding was a red and white theme.
I have cut red card on my Cricut and just added the white ribbon, simple, but I like it.  The red card has gold in it as in the close up.
I must have had Diva Mandi in mind when I did the embossing on my Glitter Girls board, I didn't think of her card until I went to post mine, clever girls those 2, they are getting in to my mind every Saturday. lol.

Ladybug challenge

Lisa is keeping me on my toes, lol,  so I am entering this card in to the Red challenge, I thought it was a "touch" of red, so made it this way, never mind perhaps I'll have time to do another before the challenge ends.  Also entering it in to the Meljens Stripes or Plaid challenge http://meljensdesignsdt.blogspot.com/
It's 2 Meljens digis with papers from Jannisscrap designs, I have used Atomic Cupcake actions to make the cross stitch, all done in PS, with the mouse and flower cut out and 3D'd. The background to the mouse is supposed to be a lighter green, but for some reason printed quite dark, I think I like it though, looks like he's in the shadow of his mousehole lol

LIM week 20 monogram

This week in Less is More the challenge is -

monogramDefinition

monogram ( ) n. A design composed of one or more letters, typically the initials of a name, used as an identifying mark.

So in effect, your monogram should represent the word it's standing for and not be a part of it.

You can use any means you fancy for creating your monogram... die cut letters, stamps, computer printouts, masking techniques... wherever your creativity leads you, we'd love to see it.

This is what I thought of immediately as I have done something similar a few years ago and it was well received, I have no one to send it to, however it can go into my box in work, I wanted a "pretty" R so looked on the web and found this at needlenthread.com.

I have printed straight on to an A4 card after colouring the R and adding hearts instead of dots inside the R then Stickled the flower and 3d glossed the red and leaves, the red has a shiney look and is raised due to the 3d gloss. The font is ChopinScrpt for the sentiment.

I hope this fits the criteria.

Wedding weekend

We had a wonderful time at our weekend away wedding of my niece,  The sun came out as she came out of the church, just thought I would show you her in a "casual" pose my brother a retired photographer set up, I took it as she was laughing at him.   I love the photo even if it is a bit blurred, my excuse? she was nearly 100 yards away!

Sports car birthday

I have been asked for another car card this time a sports car, I have printed it all out, then layered  and decoupaged the car on the card, I coloured the car in PS, printed and cut the car out on glossy paper to make it shine :)  also Stickled and added 3D gloss to the number.  The papers are from Summertime Designs.  The digi stamp is from Bethany Coe at Digi Squidgy, she's got really cute vehicle digis.
We are going away for a few days tomorrow, so will miss a few things and posting, However I am off work next week so will be able to PLAY for longer yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

I've entered the card on the Numbers challenge at Ladybug Crafts Inkl

Digi Tutorial by Paper Garden

Paper Garden and Cathy have a fantastic tutorial for Photoshop and paper piecing your image and digi paper together also colouring your digi images.  I use the colouring technique but didn't know about paper piecing the digi paper and the image together.   We learn something everyday thankfully. :)

LIM 19 one layer

A Saturday and I am posting? hehehehe one layer to me is digi (saying that 99% of my cards are digi), just  my style and today I am using images I have had for donkeys years, (perhaps I should have used a donkey?) anyway, I have used 2 Laurie Furnell images I had while a member of Hugbug at PC crafter.  One is from Senior Moments, don't you just love his grumpy face! and the other is from, wait for it, - Cows!, I used PS, printed on to the card and of course Stickled!

Senior moments font is Jokerman and I have used a gradient of colours to match the colours in the image, the cow card font is Kristen ITC.

Also today is our 45th Wedding anniversary and suprise suprise, I had a dozen red roses, from my wonderful hubby.   I have to admit, it's a VERY long time since I had flowers off him, so it makes them very special to me.

Our Sapphire Anniversary card

This is one of the reasons I didn't have time for more on my LIM card, I had to make this tonight, but he's worth it :) as tomorrow, is food shopping after work UGH!   Our anniversary is on Saturday 11th, we won't be doing anything, but hopefully will be attending my nieces wedding next week in Bury St Edmunds, we have difficult circumstances at home, so I am keeping my fingers crossed all works out well and we can go and then celebrate properly.
This is one of 2 photos we have in colour of our wedding, my mother lost the roll of film my brother the photographer gave her, oh! well, we have a black and white pictures in our photo album, which seems to be in vogue these days, how times change!

The heart is from Gina Jane at DAISIE all done in PS as usual. I used a mask to make our photo in to a heart shape.

LIM 18 monochrome

Another last minute card for the challenge, I nearly didn't make it, due to pressure of other things, came home from work today, finished what I started last night playing in PS. I paper pieced a Anne Bodil digi stamp number 3. I have Stickled the bow (still wet on photo) and added 3D glaze to the eyes and nose and decoupaged it and framed it, but, I made a BIG mistake with the sizing of the sentment, but know if I don't do this today I won't do it all and a week will be missed so here it is.   I have to be loyal to our illustrious Lim leaders after all.

I am going to try and comment on as many as I can now, but not much time, so apologies to those clever ladies who have produced some amazing cards if I don't get around to you.

A Jaguar

Here is an 8x8 card I made for a friends husband, all in Photoshop and coloured in PS too, I am quite please with the colouring, even though I say it myself. The car is decoupaged in 3 layers

A Rose is a Rose

I have been taking photos of some of the flowers in the garden, mainly to see if I could make my own digi stamp out of them.  This is one really beautiful rose we have, sorry don't know the name, it comes out orangy and goes pinkish. It's so lovely thought I would share it as not much crafting done at the moment.  It's as if it's a different rose, and the perfume is strong and beautiful too.
